As I mentioned earlier, we’ve also been having a competition on the days when all of the guys are playing together. The competition involves a gross skins game (€2.50), a net skins game (€2.50), and head to head matches against each of the other guys (€2.00 each match)… so you have 7 matches a day and as a group there are 56 matches each day. We’ve now finished 5 rounds of golf (remember Mike missed the Doonbeg day so we didn’t do the competition) and there have been 280 matches total and each person has played 35 matches each… even though the stakes don’t seem high, it is amazing how quickly it can add up when you are playing that many matches each day plus the daily skins game. In total, each person has wagered €95 so far! (current exchange rate is about $1.48 per €1) And we still have another 3 days to go… another 168 matches!!

On to the results… who do you think would be in the lead… Big hitter Rick Richardson? Maybe the steady Larry Holm or Mike Simmons? Or the perennial (maybe perpetual is a better term) winner Terry Johnson? Perhaps the guy who wrote the computer program that keeps track of all of these matches…? Well here are the total results as they stand right now… check back with this “article” and I’ll keep updating it for each days matches.

Hope that gives you a little information on who’s playing the elements who’s taking all the heat for winning. Surprisingly, there is more talk about the writer of the computer program “fixing the game” than there is about Terry playing off of an 8! This is a tough group!!

Now if that doesn’t generate some comments, I don’t know what will!!!!  (ROFLOL – but then I’m easily amused)
